The park includes more than 1,643 acres of unique coastal ecosystems for nature enthusiasts of all interests and ages. Unbelievably white sand shoreline offers crystal clear waters with high bluffed sand dune which appear like snow covered hills. Some of these dunes top over 25 feet tall and are some of the rare remaining sand dunes in this area which experienced several hurricanes several years ago. Beachcombing, hiking, swimming, sunbathing and nature observation are all popular activities at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park.
A large network of hiking trails meander through cypress domes, wet prairies, along rare freshwater coastal dune lakes and pine forests.
